A succinct perspective of the AS100 course objective is to sell the AF as a career and lay a strong foundation built on AF Core Values. The students will be introduced to the military way of life and gain knowledge on what it means to be an Air or Space professional. This course provides students with a knowledge-level understanding for the employment of air and space power, from an institutional, doctrinal, and historical perspective. As a foundational course, AS100 also provides a historical perspective such as lessons on war and US military, AF operations, principles of war, and airpower (see the complete lesson list below). The course also lays the foundation for becoming an Air or Space professional by outlining our heritage and values. The course allows students to examine general aspects of the Department of the Air Force, leadership fundamentals, service benefits, and opportunities for officers. Sigma has a very close business relationship with the number one music radio station, Super FM while it works exclusively with Galaxias productions company, that organises all the major entertainment and cultural events-concerts in Cyprus every year.This course introduces the Air and Space Forces, encouraging students to pursue an AF career or seek additional information to be better informed about the role of the USAF. Sigma uses the infrastructure of Dias Publishing House, the largest media group in Cyprus, publishing 1 newspaper, 9 magazines and operating the oldest and most popular radio station on the island. Sigma also has a re-broadcast agreement with MAD TV, the leading music station in the Greek world. This cooperation involves the rebroadcast of Star in Cyprus for some hours during the day and exchange of programmes, while the ground is being laid for future co-productions. Sigma has entered into a strategic cooperation with Star Channel in Greece in September 2002. Sigma licenses content directly from all the major US studios and the largest international distribution companies. The broadcast split within the prime-time zones is 40% Cyprus Productions, 15% Greek Productions, 25% US and 20% other, mostly Latin American Telenovelas. Now celebrating its 9th birthday Sigma has gradually increased its audience and currently rates first out of six local national broadcasters in total viewership (33% share and 40% in the 18-45 age group). It employs more than 150 television industry professionals. It broadcasts daily on a 24-hour basis targeting a mainly young, urban audience in the 18 to 45 age group. On the air since 1995, Sigma is the only fully independent television station with the largest number of locally produced programs in Cyprus.
